Dr Ng Ee Vern

Biography
During his four years as a doctor in the government service, Dr Ng was the medical officer in charge of the nephrology department at Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, Temerloh, which included the management of the haemodialysis unit for 2 years under the guidance of a visiting nephrologist. He then joined Novartis Malaysia as a product physician for the cardiovascular-metabolic division which focuses on delivering multiple round table discussions with key opinion leaders all over Malaysia.

As a former full time practising general practitioner, he was invited by local and multi-national pharmaceutical companies to become a member of their advisory board. He has more than a decade of clinical practice experience and is also a registered occupational health doctor (OHD) with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, Malaysia.

His interest as a clinician is focused on non-communicable diseases, particularly Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension and Dyslipidaemia.

Prior to his appointment with Clearbridge Medical Group Malaysia, he was the managing director for Kumpulan Klinik Medijaya Sdn Bhd, a group of general practitioner clinics across Malaysia for three years, where he led the company to receive the prestigious Small to Medium Enterprise 100 (SME100) award. He still holds a valid practicing license and has continued his clinical sessions to better serve the community.

Dr Norman Chan Hok Ling

Biography
Dr Norman Chan has nearly 40 years of experience in Clinical Pathology having worked at some of the finest institutions in the world. He graduated with an MDCM from McGill University in Canada in 1977 and trained in Pathology at the University of California San Francisco and the University of British Columbia. He became a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology in 1981 and obtained a fellowship in Pathology of Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Canada in 1982. He currently serves as a lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and as a Senior Consultant at the Dept. of Pathology, Singapore General Hospital.
